We are a "home from home" exotic bird boarding for your feathered family members, with over 7 years of experience with exotic birds. Whether they are here a day, night or extended stay, we promise they’ll have the best care possible, we treat your own bird like they are ours so get the upmost care and attention and are treated as part of the family
We are located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO A BIRD FLU OUTBREAK, ANYBODY WITHIN THE MANDATORY HOUSING ZONES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BOARD WITH US UNTIL THE RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED. PLEASE CHECK ON THE GOVERNMENT WEBSITE FOR MORE INFORMATION. WE WILL REQUIRE PROOF OF ADDRESS AND YOUR POSTCODE BEFORE ANY BOOKING IS CONFIRMED, WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED

Next Level Pet Care
Motivated by our passion for animals and deep understanding of quality bird care, we continue to serve a growing client base and are expanding our services to meet their needs. When you and your feathered family come to Step Up Aviary's UK, you become a part of our growing family.
We can house all types of birds, from budgies and finches to macaws and African greys; no bird is too big or small!
Please be advised that while disease testing is not required prior to boarding with us, and is not a prerequisite for your bird's stay, there remains a minor risk of disease transmission. We take every precaution to mitigate this risk, including the daily use of F10 disinfectant spray on cages and implementing measures to maintain a clean environment. We are committed to ensuring your bird's health during their stay. However, we expect full transparency regarding your bird’s health at the time of booking.
We will not be held liable for any disease transmissions, sudden illness, or death that were unknown to both us and the owner prior to the booking.

DAY CARE

Day Care is one of our most popular services, especially for repeat clients. We pride ourselves on our professional yet fun approach, doing everything necessary to ensure your birds are safe, secure and happy.

BOARDING
The Best for Your Pet
To help your bird feel more at home and relaxed, we require you to bring your own toys, perches and food. Whether it’s their first boarding experience, or they’re seasoned regulars, their wellbeing is central to everything we do.
In both of our bird rooms, we have implemented advanced environmental controls to ensure optimal conditions for your birds. Each room is equipped with two air purifiers, UVB bulbs integrated into the main lighting, and humidifiers. These measures are designed to maintain your bird's health and well-being during their stay with us.
Whilst your bird is in our care, we offer a diverse selection of meals prepared daily to cater to the dietary needs of your birds. For breakfast, we serve options such as porridge made with oat milk and bananas or nuts, bird-safe pancakes, and brown seeded toast with cashew butter. Lunch includes a variety of treats, such as nuts or seeds. For dinner, we provide a rotating menu featuring salmon with rice and vegetables, pasta with egg and vegetables, and mixed beans with brown rice and vegetables. These meals vary daily, and we kindly ask that you inform us if you prefer your birds not to receive any specific items from our menu, fresh filtered water and treats will all be provided by us unless otherwise instructed. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements upon booking.

Should you choose not to provide your own cage(s), we offer a range of cages in various sizes to accommodate all types of birds.
Each bird is allocated up to one hour of supervised flight time outside of their cage per day, per household. Birds are never mixed with those from other households. While the duration may vary depending on our schedule, we ensure that every bird receives a minimum of one hour to stretch their wings, under the supervision of a staff member

OPENING HOURS
We are located near Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Monday to Friday: 10am-7pm
Saturday 9am-7pm
Sunday 11am-4pm
Unfortunately, birds can not be dropped off or picked up before 10am or after 7pm, as sleep is important to them. We ask if you would kindly adhere to our opening times - birds need the full 12 hours of sleep to thrive.

Due to the sheer volume of custom, we are only giving advise and help online or via telephone regarding help and training please contact us for more information
All meals, water and treats are provided at no extra cost unless specified beforehand.
Any specific dietary requirements must be discussed before boarding with us.
We ask all customers to provide their own birds toys, food and perches enough to last them their stay, this also helps your bird feel more comfortable in a new surrounding

Peak Season

We are closed for visitations on 25th - 26th of December. No bookings will be taken on these dates.
Any late cancellations require 48 hours notice to cancel your booking.

Please give as much notice as possible around holiday seasons to avoid disappointment. A minimum of 2 weeks notice is required.
